Thereís no denying that sweet corn is as all-American as apple pie. Butter-glossed corn on the cob, corn pudding, succotash and corn chowder are just a few of the fresh corn dishes that belong to our national repertoire. History tells us, however, that corn is more accurately described as an all-Americas favorite, savored not only in the U.S. but by Latin Americans from the Rio Grande border to the tip of Cape Horn. In this press kit we explore some of their specialties and provide recipes for a Columbian soup and Peruvian salad in which fresh corn plays a starring role.
