New York City — March 19, 2007 — Just how much can you accomplish in one minute? If you’re a brilliant, undiscovered video auteur, you may just earn yourself $2,500.

KA-ME — the makers of Boxed Noodle and Rice Meals — has announced its first ever Streaming Noodle Video Contest. Amateur filmmakers are invited to submit a short video (up to 60 seconds or 50 MB) about what KA-ME means to them for a chance to win $2,500 in cash.

PRIZES

1st Place:     $2,500
2nd Place:   $1,000
3rd Place:    $500
First 250 Entrants:    KA-ME Streaming Noodle T-shirt and Chopsticks

Is KA-ME a meal for one, a quick snack to keep you going or part of a major Asian feast? Think “outside the box” and create your own commercial, film short or mock trailer. You can make it as serious or as funny as you like. You can be the star, or you can include friends, family members, even pets or animated characters. Get creative! Just be sure to incorporate KA-ME's boxed noodle and rice meals.

Entries can be uploaded at www.kamevideocontest.com/ka-me-video-contest- submit.html during the six weeks from April 1 to May 12, 2007. Ten finalists will be selected and voted on by online visitors (one vote per day per IP) over a two-week period. Prizes will be awarded based on vote rankings.

The first 250 entrants will receive an official KA-ME Streaming Noodle T-shirt and a pair of chopsticks.

Use your noodle … you have to be in it to win it! Register now to upload your video entry or comment on a video and to receive email updates on the contest and voting. Guidelines and further information on the contest are available online at www.kamevideocontest.com.

About KA-ME

Since its launch over 25 years ago, KA-ME (www.kame.com) has become the leading brand of specialty Asian cuisine food and cooking ingredients in the United States and is available in supermarkets nationally. Translated, KA-ME (pronounced KAH-MAY) means “tortoise or turtle.” According to Japanese legend, the turtle signifies a long and happy life; and longevity flows from native ingredients. Traditional Asian food is simple, drawing from local spices and healthful ingredients. KA-ME Boxed Noodle and Rice Meals contain fresh-pack vegetables and noodles or rice, authentic sauces and premium ingredients … bringing an authentic taste of Asia to the table in just two minutes.
